World Of Warcraft Player Hits Level 90 Without Killing A Single Thing

World of Warcraft is a savage land where combat is a way of life—but one player managed to hit Level 90 without killing anything. It’s pretty difficult to take the pacifist route to the top, but this Druid managed spectacularly.
First reported by Massively, a Tauren Druid named Irenic got to Level 90 in Mists of Pandaria while registering zero kills. He documented the results of the 12-day process on the WoW Forums, citing that even a mandatory quest didn’t really factor into his immediate experience gain:
The 1 quest I got is a new unavoidable quest that is now auto flagged as complete for all factions. It registered after I hit 86. The gm just called it “that quest” so I am not even sure it has a proper name. I would like to think that that the quest objective is achieving awesomeness – then I don’t mind that “1″ on my stats page. As far as I can tell the quest did not grant any XP.
Since the entrance to Pandaria isn’t designed to be entered without questing & killing I spent all my time doing archaeology, and gathering in Kalimdor.
Attempting to level-cap with self-imposed restraints is a part-time hobby among a niche amount of World of Warcraft players. Some of them choose to play without questing, killing, or using some of their class advantages.
Mists of Pandaria has been World of Warcraft‘s largest and most detailed expansion yet, moving more than 800,000 physical copies since launch. Factoring in digital sales, the update has done more than 2.7 million in sales so far.
